SAFRA Choa Chu Kang to Open with Sky Running Track in May 2023
Initially announced in 2018, SAFRA Choa Chu Kang (CCK) promised to be a fitness oasis with a wide range of fitness facilities. A five-year wait will finally be over in May 2023 when SAFRA CCK opens its doors.
With its convenient location near CCK MRT Station, the five-story clubhouse will also feature a sky-running track and MMA rings.

SAFRA CCK will open in May 2023, the Ministry of Defence (MINEF) announced on Friday (27 Jan). With 90,000 SAF servicemen living in the North-West region, SAFRA CCK features a variety of fitness facilities similar to those found in other SAFRA clubhouses in Singapore.
Apparently designed with Singapore’s unpredictable weather in mind, SAFRA CCK has a sheltered swimming pool where users can cool off in any weather.
Greenery surrounds the pool, giving swimmers the impression that they are swimming deep in the Amazon rainforest. Football fans can channel their inner Mbappe and attempt a few nutmegs on the indoor futsal court next to the pool.
Additionally, you can run 2.4 km on the sky-running track. You never know, the scenic views of the KJE might distract you from your exhaustion. For more curated fitness exercises, visit the EnergyOne gym and fitness studios instead after you’ve completed your cardio for the week.
MMA rings are available for those who want to go a step further in their martial arts lessons. For those looking for more leisurely activities, a rock climbing wall and a bowling alley are also available.
SAFRA clubhouse offers new dining options
Clubhouse visitors will also be able to enjoy new dining options, including a Burger King drive-thru that is open until 2 am every night. In Singapore, there is only one Burger King drive-thru and it’s here at SAFRA CCK.
Aside from the various amenities that adults can enjoy, kids can play on the indoor playground until their hearts’ content. There will be live entertainment and mass workouts for the whole family in an outdoor amphitheatre.
CCK MPs take early tour of clubhouse
An official tour of the clubhouse was conducted on Friday (27 Jan) by Senior Minister of State for Defence Zaqy Mohammad and Choa Chu Kang MPs Gan Kim Yong and Don Wee.
In spite of the incomplete appearance of the building, the facility’s scale is breathtaking.
