Q: What inspired you to start content creation on Instagram?
A: In 2020, The Straits Times published that the top non-essential job is an Artist… which… I guess… fair but on top of being ‘non-essential’, being an artist can also be fulfilling, valid and fun – and as a writer and actress, I wanted to showcase that! Armed with an overactive imagination, I knew since young I wanted to become a storyteller of some sort but I didn’t really have anyone to look up to. I mean, how many local writers do you know? So I thought maybe if I put my journey out there, I can share and connect with other aspiring artists.
Q: If you had to choose one thing, what is it that makes your Instagram account so special in particular?
A: Now working in the television industry as a writer, I want to showcase the behind-the-scenes of the media industry in Singapore to hopefully get people interested in supporting local arts! There’s a lot of love, creativity and hard work that deserves the limelight too.
Q: Ideally, what do you hope to see in the future for doing content creation?
A: Beyond writing, I want to make more microfilms! Basically little cinematic stand-alone videos in the 16:9 vertical format that tells a snippet of a story. With the rise of social media, I believe the barriers to filmmaking have also come down. I look up to people like @megantanhweewen who have such an eye for the aesthetics and the ability to tell a story in seconds. I’ve tried making a few microfilms, much more tedious than it looks but so much fun to be able to create!

Q: What inspired you to start content creation on Instagram?
A: About 10 years ago, my content creation adventure began with a passion for photography and sharing the good and food stuff around. It all kicked off with food blogging, and my curiosity keeps me on my toes, always eager to dive into new trends and platforms. When Instagram took off, I was among the bloggers who jumped on-board. However, I’m still active in blogging, I didn’t drop it, especially it’s that platform where it all began for me.
Q: If you had to choose one thing, what is it that makes your Instagram account so special in particular?
A: I absolutely love sharing my adventures, whether they involve food, travel, or anything else worth sharing. I’m particularly meticulous, especially when it comes to aesthetics. Appealing visuals is my passion, and it’s evident in my content. Many of my followers have expressed their love for my photos and videos.
Q: Ideally, what do you hope to see in the future for doing content creation?
A: There’s so much to learn, and I’m from the Era of transitioning from photography to videography, and now transitioning into exploring AI. The future is so uncertain, but I envision a hybrid approach encompassing various elements like trends, algorithm, technology, and more, yet staying humanize. I’m excited to explore and experiment with whatever comes my way.

A: I was inspired to start content creation on Instagram because I wanted to share my passions, creativity, and experiences with others in a visually engaging way.

A: What makes my Instagram account special is the genuine connection I strive to build with my audience. I aim to create content that resonates with them on a personal level, sparking conversations and fostering a sense of community.
