Everything You Need to Know About Bondee
What is Bondee?
Singapore-based Metadream Tech Pte developed Bondee, a new social networking platform. Ltd. As a “next-generation social media app,” it features customizable 3D characters. A room can be designed that resembles your own, or you can build the room of your dreams! Think of it as a crossover between The Sims and Animal Crossing.
As well as customizing your avatar’s appearance, you can also keep your friends (aka neighbors) updated on what you’re doing (similar to old-school Facebook status updates).
Users can also chat with their friends and enjoy activities with them such as camping, picnics, and clubs. Additionally, you can leave sticky notes for each other in each other’s rooms. It’s super cute!
Where can I download Bondee? Do I need to pay for it?
The Bondee app is available for free download on the App Store (for iPhone and iPad users) and Google Play Store (for Android users).
There are elements of NFT and blockchain included in Bondee. Although the NFT features aren’t yet available in the app, the official privacy policy indicates that they are included. As of now, Bondee’s NFT offerings are unknown.
How do I use Bondee?
Once you’ve downloaded the app, you’ll be asked to create an account with your phone number and password. Next, you’ll be taken to the avatar customization section, where you can choose from a variety of clothing, accessories, and miscellaneous items to create your own mini-me.
After that, you can customize your room with furniture, potted plants, random knick-knacks, posters, and picture frames (where you can upload actual photos). Your room can also be customized with a variety of backgrounds and flooring options.
How do I add and interact with friends?
You can add up to 50 friends after setting up your space. Alternatively, you can upload their QR codes or search for their usernames. Once you have added them, you can start chatting with them. The avatars can also be affected by various emotions and actions. You can chill on a sofa, beanbag, office chair, box, CTRL button, jelly pudding, or even a toilet. There are also swings and places to sit with your friends, camp, have a picnic, and bust out some dance moves. What a cute idea!
When you’ve added a bunch of friends, you’ll be able to see your room and theirs at a glance by clicking on the “Neighbors” button. Isn’t that awesome?
Outside of the rooms, a sailing function allows users to venture out into the digital world and befriend and add random users. You can find new accessories or furniture in the customization section if you keep an eye out for floating notes floating in the open sea.
