With the June School Holiday Special, the National Orchid Garden in Singapore Botanic Gardens will be offering free admission to local residents from 20 to 25 June.
As specified in their terms and conditions, students must present valid student cards, while Singaporeans, PRs, Work Permit Holders, and Dependent Pass Holders must present their ID cards.
Approximately 60,000 orchids are divided into four vegetation types, each inspired by a different season and landscape.
National Orchid Garden
- Visit the Tropical Montane Orchidetum to experience orchids’ mesmerizing beauty and appreciate their adaptability to different climatic conditions. Visitors to the collection can see rare and exotic orchids up close and learn about their conservation efforts.
Within the Singapore Botanic Gardens is the Sembcorp Cool House, a climate-controlled greenhouse. It is an ideal place to display cool-climate plants, such as ferns, begonias, and other temperate plants. Temperature and humidity levels in the Cool House are controlled to simulate high-altitude conditions. The Sembcorp Cool House offers visitors a unique selection of plants that are usually found in cooler climates.
