You may have heard, Jurong Bird Park is Closing After 52 Years and will relocate to Mandai after 3 Jan 2023. Singapore’s beloved and iconic park has been a part of our shared and beloved memories since 1971.
According to The Straits Times (ST), the rest of Mandai Wildlife Reserve’s new attractions are slated to be completed by 2024. Despite not being goodbye forever, the closure of Jurong Bird Park is bittersweet for many.
But don’t worry, Jurong Bird Park will be moving to Mandai Wildlife Reserve. It will be known as Bird Paradise and have a new nest in Mandai Wildlife Reserve alongside Singapore Zoo, River Wonders, and Night Safari.
Fans can say their goodbyes with a bunch of fun activities and promotions, including S$10 admission tickets and family-friendly carnival rides just in time for the year-end school holidays.
After 3 Jan next year, the park will close its doors in preparation for its migration to Mandai Wildlife Reserve. The Bird Paradise will open in the second quarter of 2023 and will house 3,500 birds from over 400 different species. The attraction allows visitors to immerse themselves in interactive and natural bird habitats. With eight aviaries, visitors can walk through and fully experience authentic environments. Another example is the Wings of Asia enclosure, where visitors can experience the bamboo forests and rice terraces of Southeast Asia.
