A total of 66 Sheng Siong stores will be open 24 hours a day before Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year (CNY) is fast approaching, which means it’s time to start shopping.
If you’re a last-minute shopper or afraid you’ll forget something before house visits begin, look no further than Sheng Siong.
15 stores will extend their operating hours until 20 January 2023. 66 Sheng Siong stores will be open 24 hours a day, so you can shop anytime.
15 more Sheng Siong outlets to open 24 hours
Announcing 15 more stores to be open for 24 hours until 20 January, two days before Chinese New Year, Sheng Siong announced the openings on Thursday (5 January).
Additionally, they will continue to operate their 24-hour supermarkets around the clock.
Stores with extended hours include:
From 1 Jan: Bukit Batok 451, Anchorvale 338, Tampines 602A
From 12 Jan: Jalan Bahar
From 13 Jan: Woodlands Industrial Park E7
From 14 Jan: Potong Pasir 6, Tampines 872C, Bukit Batok 467, Aljunied 118, Bedok South 151
From 19 Jan: Loyang Point 258
From 20 Jan: Hougang 377, Junction Nine, Junction Ten, Upper Thomson 200
All stores will be open until 4pm on CNY Eve (21 Jan), so if you haven’t checked everything off your list by then, take note.
In the image below, only 26 outlets will remain open from 8am to 6pm on 22 and 23 January:
The business will resume as usual on 24 January.
The GST increase will be absorbed until March 2023
A ‘Counter-Inflation Discount’ was also announced by Sheng Siong on 27 Dec last year. Starting on 1 January, the offer will last until 31 March.
There will be a 1% discount on most products at all outlets.
Certain categories of items are excluded from this offer, however. The list includes alcohol, tobacco, vouchers, lottery tickets, and infant milk powder.
Furthermore, the promotion is only valid for in-store purchases.
