With the release of a new dessert beverage, Gong Cha celebrates the Mid-Autumn season. Served in a cup.
Gong Cha Tang Yuan 汤圆
It’s true – bubble tea fans this week can enjoy a slightly different kind of beverage at Gong Cha, which combines Tang Yuan (rice balls) with bubble tea ingredients.
Based on the promotional image, it appears grass jelly and boba pearls go into the new Tang Yuan.
As the name is a homophone for unity and togetherness, it is commonly eaten during the Lantern Festival. During this time, it is usually served with hot broth or syrup.
