A Tiktok user by the name of 1dollarnasilemak has started a home-based business dedicated to selling nasi lemak for just S$1 per package, which has recently gone viral.
In order to secure slots, customers may need to submit their orders several weeks ahead of time to 1dollarnasilemak.
Nasi lemak for one dollar at 1dollarnasilemak
As its name suggests, 1dollarnasilemak sells nasi lemak from just S$1.
Apparently, their nasi lemak’s sambal chili takes five hours to cook, the nasi lemak can be ordered with rice, egg omelette, fried peanuts, and ikan bilis.
Nasi lemak for S$1 comes wrapped in paper and without a spoon.
According to a TikTok video, the packaging of its S$1 nasi lemak measures about 8.5cm, or about the length of a stapler.
If you prefer to eat your nasi lemak from a “small tub,” you can pay S$0.30 more.
Popcorn chicken and drumlets are also available
There are also more ingredients available for customers who are willing to pay more for their nasi lemak. Prices differ depending on whether the dish is wrapped in paper or in a small tub, just like the basic S$1 nasi lemak. Customers would have to pay S$2 or S$2.30 for a portion of nasi lemak with a drumlet on the side.
Popcorn chicken is also available for S$2.50 or S$2.70 depending on the packaging.
Only available on weekends
1dollarnasilemak is a Muslim-owned business.
Customers can order via WhatsApp at 8836 6283.
There is a minimum order of 10 packets and slots are only available on weekends.
In addition, self-collection is available on Sundays at Woodlands. Upon confirming their order and payment, customers will receive the exact address.

Make your order in advance, maybe 2 to 3 weeks in advance would be a good timeframe.
